Tim Koomen

Description

Since 2007 Tim Koomen has worked as an independent test consultant and test manager. He is available for:
- improving test processes, for instance by performing TPI (Next) assessments,
- setting up or changing test organisations and processes (often triggered by IT developments like offshoring or agile development methods),
- giving presentations and trainings and
- (overall) test management or coordination.

General
From 1988 till 2007 Sogeti has been his employer, where he has been involved in testing since 1992. He is co-author of the books TMap Next, Test Process Improvement (TPI®) and co-editor of TMap Test Topics, published in several languages. Also, he regularly publishes articles on testing, presents at conferences and gives training sessions, dealing with many different test topics.
In 2003 he received the European Testing Excellence Award for his work on TPI, TMap and testing in general. The award is presented annually to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the field of software testing within Europe.
